Event Description

Join us for a weekly class series every Wednesday from February 27 through April 3.

Explore quilts, textiles, and patterns in the High’s newly reinstalled collection. Gather design ideas to spur your own creative vision, then create a small quilt based on textile patterns inspired by designs in our galleries.

This class focuses on traditional processes, including machine piecing, hand quilting, and appliqué. Participants will also learn about art quilt practices—such as stamping, beading, embroidery, and hand embellishments—to add implied and visual texture to projects. The class is appropriate for all levels.

Supplies will be provided courtesy of the High Museum of Art
